The Rotary Club of Madras Central Aadithya (RCMCA) is a 36-year-old Club, chartered in 12-June-1986. Over all these years has been supporting various community service projects that have made an impact in society.
This year, RCMCA has taken up three prestigious projects that would impact healthcare for the needy:
- Project Orange is setting up Hybrid Vision centers which detect and treat “avoidable blindness” in urban and rural areas of Tamil Nadu. The proposed centers would render primary Eye Care Services to people in underprivileged sections of the community to work towards Blindness Free Communities. We would like to create 1 more vision centre which will support around 20 villages.
- Mobile Cardiac Screening Unit which screens for cardiovascular risk assessments and shares the result right away along with a consultation on the report. RCMCA in association with Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research for supporting this project.
